IFOAM Program

ACT has been accredited under the IFOAM Accreditation Programme since 2001, the first CB in Asia to earn this recognition. IAP was launched in 1992 by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) to award accreditation to certification bodies that complied with the IFOAM Accreditation Criteria and used certification standards that met the IFOAM standards and requirements. In 1997, IFOAM founded the International Organic Accreditation Service (IOAS), a US-based nonprofit organization, to carry out accreditation under the program.

ACT offers services to certify crop production, processing and handling, wild harvest, and commercial inputs to the ACT (IFOAM Program) Organic Standards.

Operators certified under this program can use the ACT seal and   the “IFOAM Accredited” logo (both must always be displayed together) concurrently on their products.  Potential buyers of these products are among importers in several countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.
